GRAHAM STOVE
ARTIST BIO
Graham Stove is a contemporary Western Australian artist whose work captures the enigmatic, vast beauty of the Australian bush and its coastal environments. He graduated from Curtin University in 1994, where he also held his first major solo exhibitions, before establishing a consistent presence in the Western Australian gallery scene.
His earlier work drew heavily on rigid, complex imagery inspired by labyrinths, mazes, and mathematical 3D illusions, with the circle emerging early as a major source of interest and inspiration. That motif has carried through into his more recent abstract landscape painting, where acrylic and mixed media are used to build layered, textured surfaces that explore memory, environmental resilience, and the vast ancient beauty of the Western Australian landscape. He has exhibited regularly across Western Australia for over thirty years.
