HARRY ZED HUGHES

Harry Zed Hughes is a Western Australian artist who has been developing his practice for over 20 years, creating large-scale figurative paintings of visionary landscapes. Working primarily in oils, Harry’s work bridges the mystical and the tangible, drawing viewers into immersive psychological territories that challenge conventional reality. His paintings often feature epic scales and sci-fi elements, investigating themes of the journey of consciousness, vital energy, and apocalyptic revelation.
During his residency at Donnelly River, he plans to work on large and small format pieces that respond to the natural environment while continuing his exploration of shared myth making.
